United Baskets explores the process of landscape transformation and the persistence of local craft traditions. Vegetable fibers are transformed into objects through weaving using techniques that were developed on the coast of Peru thousands of years ago. This ancient practice marks the beginning of South America’s textile tradition, predating cotton and animal fibers.
