The cultures that inhabited our territory developed the cult of water, shaping societies and urban spaces around this vital element. Agriculture was made possible by natural sources like snow-capped peaks, lagoons, springs, rivers, and rain. From water’s flow, they built channels, huachaques, aqueducts, wells, and sacred sites carved into stone. Hydrolytic is a series of sculptural pieces in Andean stone that reflect on the absence of water rituals today, exploring the link between solid stone and water’s fluid presence in the landscape.
